Chef Ta Duy Dat – Chinese Kitchen Chef 

Chef Ta Duy Dat is from Vietnam. He has 15 years of experience in Asian cooking, especially in Chinese food. He grew up in a rural area near Hanoi. During his childhood, his father would cook delicious food using fresh ingredients and that is when his dream of becoming a chef was born.

His wild imagination in cooking combined with his experience in Vietnam and Dubai paved his path to Tao Restaurant (Cairo) where his dream turned into reality when he became the Sous Chef of the Chinese cuisine (kitchen) at the world renowned Tao Restaurant.

He found his home in TAO Restaurant sharing his knowledge and passion in cooking.

Leo Guiging Samson – Japanese Cuisine Chef

A native of Manila, Philippines.  Chef Leo found his calling in Japanese cuisine and embraced his career with passion. He started his journey in a pre-opening team of the first Bhudda Bar in the Philippines.

He sought opportunities to further and develop his culinary skills landing him in Jumeira Hotel in Dubai, UAE and later on as a Sushi/Teppanyaki Chef in the popular Benihana Restaurant in Slovakia, Europe.

Having spent nearly a decade of gaining culinary experience, he continued on this exciting journey at TAO Restaurant, where he opened the Japanese kitchen. His expertise in Sushi and sashimi is the talk of the town.

Abhay Kala- Indian Cuisine Chef

A native of India born and brought up in an Army family in a small town of Dehradun in the northern part of India. In his last 20 years of his career in India and abroad working with big chains like Hyatt and Marriott. He brings a lot of essence and passion in his daily work. His first experience with food was with his grandmother who used to teach him to cook food while his parents were away and since then he developed a passion for cooking.

Chef Kala opened the Indian kitchen at Tao, where his cuisine is renowned for offering the most authentic flavours.  He specializes in tandoor, Indian “Nawabi” and “Dum” foods.

Pheerapon Janpuan  –  Thai Cusine Chef

Born in the mountainous city in northern Thailand, Chiang Mai, chef Pheerapon Janpuan developed the passion for his native Thai cuisine after falling in love with the way his late grandmother used to cook for him the classical heartwarming dishes in their ancestral home. Chef Janpuan has more than 27 years of experience in traditional Thai cooking. He has previously worked at several multi-national hotel chains as Sheraton, Radisson Blu, Grand Rotana, Fairmont, Dusit Dubai and finally landed here at Dusit Thani Lakeview Cairo to contribute to the success of the hotels award winning culinary with his veteran experience. His knowledge creativity and imagination brings a lively personality to the kitchen as that comes in handy when things get stressful.
